The reason why big Mario’s Pizza is known for its great quality is Mario Vellotti himself. He came to New York City from Naples in the 1960s. While in New York, he took the time to know all he could about pizza, including working in some of the top pizza places of the day. This neighbourhood sits on top of the city’s highest named peak and is bordered by Belltown, Interbay, Lake Union, and the Lake Washington Ship Canal.
